Campus Clubs

VISION

Calibr8 Campus Clubs will provide moral and character education. Students will grow into leaders that will shape not just their personal futures but the communities they serve as adults.

“Every school is made up of 10% positive leaders and 10% negative leaders. Clubs like Calibr8 empower the 10% positive leaders to lead the 80% followers to make choices based on a moral compass. Calibr8 clubs will change the culture of any school that they serve.”

-James Kytle, 20 year retired principal, East Jefferson High School
THE NEED
  • Teens are surrounded by violence and crime all around them
  • Most teens in the Greater Baton Rouge region grow up without significant parental support, and many with only one parent or grandparent in the home.
  • Technology is parenting students more than anything else
IMPACT
We currently reach 650 students per week in 5 parishes
  • Tuesdays – Broadmoor High School – lunch
  • Wednesday – East Iberville Elementary – lunch, East Iberville Middle School – lunch, East Iberville High School – lunch, East St John High School – lunch
  • Thursdays – Springfield Middle School – breakfast, Belaire High School – lunch, Port Allen High School – lunch
  • Providing inspiring communication that will build character and integrity.
  • Connecting students to mentors for further growth.
  • Developing weekly instruction that builds trust and demonstrates consistent care and concern.

Calibr8 Campus Clubs will include a weekly presentation on a relevant topic. Topics will include, but not limited to: relationships, divorce, suicide, bullying, violence, drugs, alcohol, mental health, conflict resolution, and human trafficking. These presentations will be high energy, thought provoking, and give students the opportunity to apply the information to their everyday lives.
