Calibr8

Ben and Shelly Comer launched Calibr8 Resources in April 2014 to provide a resource for other nonprofits to begin well and find their calibrated lanes to meet the vision and goals of their organizations. They took their two decades of ministry and nonprofit development experience as a basis for assisting nonprofit leaders on their journeys.  The Comer’s taught basic fundraising, assisted with the development of the organizational mission and structure, and helped lead outreach and fundraising events.  Coaching and consulting will always be an emphasis in Calibr8 Resources, advancing the mission and goals of like-minded nonprofits.

 

In the spring of 2023, Calibr8 began preparation to return to public school campuses to launch character clubs in the Baton Rouge region. Calibr8 served 400 students in 5 schools in 3 parishes during the 2023-2024 school year, and then grew to serve 650 students in 8 schools in 5 parishes in the 2024-2025 school year.  Currently, we are partnering with concerned leaders around the state of Louisiana to export our character club model to schools around the state.
